Stock beer image, but I’m drinking a nice pale ale from the local brew pub I brought into my office. Another guy brought in some Jim Beam, which was very thoughtful.

When I started my first job after college, they’d occasionally have “Beer Friday” where the owner of the company would buy beer and we’d go out on the patio for drinks around 4:30. There was a beer friday my first week with the company, and for a few minutes I was fooled into thinking that it was an every week occurrence. If it was, I’d still be working there.

limited consumption of alcoholic beverages in the work place is an under utilized business tool - helps team building, frees up creativity, improves morale, demonstrates trust on both sides of the employee/management partnership, etc.

For years at my office we didn’t drink on the job.
A new manager brought in 4pm Friday beers. I don’t know what I’d do without them.
